A recent TransUnion study showed that adding rent payments to your credit report increased credit scores by an average of 60 points, but the exact impact will depend on each individual. If you have no credit profile, this is also a good way to start building one.
Rent reporting allows you to get credit for on-time rent payments by reporting them to the major credit bureaus.
